yet a new day begins with the rising of the sun
and the clock ticks slowly while the minutes fly by
seeing the moon creep up as we watch the day die...
with a rain that falls heavy
outside a fogged window pane
to a house lit dimmly
but silent as the grave...
it leaves the sky a tattered grey
moving slowly in its grace
while it paints the world green
to begin a new day.
